i dont get out and do it enough as i should , but in the last fortnight i have been to two of the best gigs i have seen in a long time

these being THE BLOODHOUND GANG at the leeds uni and Martyn Joseph at the city varieties

although two totally different beasts they were both great gigs in their own ways

i wouldnt have thought of going to see the bloodound gang but big sexy pete treated me as an early birthday pressie and they were very , very entertaining , in a get the audience to gob on you , drink as much as possible , insult anyone and everyone , sing songs about shagging and things smelling of fish and vomit on the singer stylee

then last night all the band and a couple of groupies braved the arctic conditions to go see Martyn Joseph at the city varieties , as i said the bloods were entertaining but this guy is just class

the things he can say , the emotion he can project and the stories he can paint with just his voice and an acoustic guitar begger belief , i havnt laughed/cried so much for a long time

he is well worth a listen , with songs like dolphins-the good in me is dead-dic penderin-please sir and some amazing new stuff including a belter about paul robeson he just seems to be getting better and better

brilliant , but where was fish and the vomit
