i settled down with my faithful companion strongbow to watch the eurovision song contest for the first time ever in my 39 sum years on this planet last saturday night

(we were at the stepdaughters and she insisted)

and is was f**cking hilarious

so the cider may have helped somewhat

but the acts were unbelievable

.

there was the usual conveyor belt of ricky martin/britney spearsalikes

but just take the entry for Germany, which was a counrty and western howdeedoodeejigalong (what else?) englands entry was like a dodgy highschool porn intro and the Lithuanian entry can only be described as the flying pickets on acid
