went to see stepson steves band 'vanishing point' play their first gig the other night at a football presentation do in bradford

they are a four piece, with trevor on drums, steve on bass and vocals/backing vocals, mal on guitar (plus a stand in on rhythm guitar for a few songs) and jenny on vocals

they play a wide variety of songs from the likes of blondie, bon jovi, pink floyd, the knack, tom robinson, scissor sisters and the cranberries to name but a few

there were a load more songs but it was cheap beer and i was'nt working the next morning so i find it hard to remember them

.

the nerves were showing a bit a the start of the first set (you could smell them from where i was sat) , but soon settled down and everyone had a great night with jenny keeping everyone on their toes and steve doing very well with his vocal duties

.

and what better way to end the night than going for a mega curry in bradford after the gig

.
